Meet the FUW Insurance Ltd team who keep the wheel turning at head office in Aberystwyth

FUW Insurance Services head office Data Input and Central Unit team provide technical, administrative and process support to the business particularly related to Renewal Processing ensuring a consistent, timely and compliant service delivery that satisfies the statutory requirements of the Financial Conduct Authority.

The Central Unit also manage most of our Personal Lines business centrally, though this service is accessible to all our system users enabling our local teams to maintain existing member and client relationships.

Shelley Dimmack: Central Unit Manager

My working day starts with sorting through e-mails and organising the day ahead, prioritising workloads for both data input and central unit.

I assign leads to account executives that come in from both website and Moneypenny leads and find solutions to any problems that may come to light, contacting relevant people in order to fix any issues.

As they arise, I deal with any complaints that are escalated from the central unit team and ensure everyone in the team remains compliant with regard to insurance regulations and advice being given to customers.

I also make sure that all renewals are invited within authorised timescales.

Outside of work I can usually be found on the edge of the football pitch supporting my son. When I do get any other spare time I am a keen horse rider and will often be spotted at all the local agricultural shows throughout the summer helping friends who compete.

Stephen Sully: Data Input Technician

I have been employed for approximately three years with FUW Insurance Services Ltd as a Data Input Technician.

On a daily basis I’m responsible for processing of renewals for the Anglesey, Caernarfon and Denbigh offices, the scanning of renewals and other insurance documents into the clients electronic file and I sort the post for our account executives.

I am the main point of contact for our centralised e-mail system, distributing renewal invitations electronically to the appropriate member of the Data Input team which I receive directly from various insurers.

I also create monthly spreadsheets to ensure that all of my account executives renewals are completed in a timely manner and ensure that all the correct and relevant insurance documentation is included with each insurance

renewal depending on their needs and requirements.
Liaising with account executives and their administrative support is a daily task, which

ensures that the renewals are invited correctly and in a timely manner.
I also check the Online HUB to download renewals electronically, as and when they’re

available.
In my spare time I am married with two sons (Shay, 17 and Liam, 11). Last summer Shay

worked with us in the Data Input department helping the team with the day-to-day duties, something with he very much enjoyed!

I am also a season ticket holder with Newcastle United and follow them around the country as much as I can.

Claire Short:
Insurance Administrator

I have worked for FUW Insurance Services Ltd as an Insurance Administrator for nearly three years. Within the Central Unit I process renewals, new business quotes and mid term adjustments on a variety of policies.

My role is customer focused and the aim of the Central Unit is to get the best possible premium and cover for the client.

My work week consists of checking e- mails, replying to queries that have been raised, processing payments, phoning clients to check that the information on upcoming renewals is correct and sending out the renewals.

I am also a superuser so I can raise queries and tasks with our software house.

Within my free time I enjoy socialising with my friends and family.

Rhiannon Hamer-Brice: Data Input Technician

My week consists of processing renewals and sending documents to clients on behalf of the Flint, Denbigh, Meirioneth, Montgomery and Caernarfon account executives.

I keep track of the renewals that need to be processed by creating monthly spreadsheets and liaising with the account executives as to what needs to be done.

As and when required I provide training to other members of the Data Input team. I am responsible for making sure that stationary for the department is fully stocked and making sure that insurer

leaflets are always available for clients

Angie Rigby: Data Input Team Member

As the newest member of staff within the FUW Data Input Department here in Aberystwyth, I feel like I have settled in like part of the family.

On a regular basis I help to deal with incoming/outgoing post and as part of my role with Data Input it is my responsibility to help process renewals for the Ceredigion, Carmarthenshire and Glamorgan offices.

I also retrieve renewals from the Insurer’s Website, post or e-mails and ensure all documentation is placed in the client’s database. I input current renewal premiums and verify data by comparing it to the source documents.

I am in regular contact with the account executives and admin staff to ensure accurate information is being sent to their clients.

Another part of my role is to run reports and extract the data to be placed in spreadsheets for the Joint Interim Managing Directors.

Outside of work I spend quality time with the family.
