PLAID Cymru AM for Dwyfor Meirionnydd Dafydd Elis-Thomas attended one of FUW Caernarfon’s breakfast events in aid of British Heart Foundation Cymru. The events have been held by the union across Wales for 16 years, supporting a range of charities and proving to be an opportunity for rural communities to come together to discuss matters of interest. Mr Elis-Thomas said: “The FUW’s annual breakfasts promote the great food we produce here in Wales and is a great opportunity to talk and discuss current issues in the industry. “It’s also a great way of raising money towards charities and I congratulate the union on the money raised so far. “I’ve very much enjoyed the food and discussion here today at Mur Cwt Lloer, Chwilog.” FUW Caernarfon county executive officer Gwynedd Watkin said: “The FUW would like to thank everyone who came to the farmhouse breakfasts across the county. “I would also like to thank all those who sponsored us. We have so far raised over £6,000 between six locations in this county alone.“
