Challenge to keep young farmers fit

MEMBERS of Clwyd Young Farmers took part in a sponsored bike ride around the county last month – a total of 128 miles, calling at all clubs throughout the county. 11 members started at 8am from Cerrigydrudion on saturday morning and were joined throughout the day by members who joined for a shorter ride. The weather was shining and food and drink was kindly prepared by different clubs as they toured around. The total amount raised at present stands at over £1,000 and the fund is still open with a just giving page on Facebook “Futures Fund for Clwyd YFC.” at around 5pm on sunday evening, 18 very tired members arrived safely at the Ruthin Rugby Club and were met by the president and friends of Clwyd YFC . County organiser eleri Roberts said: “This was an excellent opportunity for all the county members to work as a team and it was a fantastic idea from dewi Parry to ensure that the county federation had funds for the future. “The weekend showed the stamina of Clwyd YFC members and their commitment to the federation.”
