Cofio John Dyer James

Gyda thristwch mawr y daeth y newyddion am farwolaeth John dyer James yn niwedd mis ionawr. Bu’n ysgrifennydd sirol i UaC meirionnydd rhwng 1974- 1988 a gweithiodd yn gydwybodol a diflino dros yr undeb a’r diwydiant amaeth, a hyn ar gyfnod allweddol yn natblygiad a thwf yr undeb.

Gŵr tawel, diymhongar ydoedd ond yn gryf a chadarn iawn ei farn. roedd yn uchel iawn ei barch gan bawb o fewn y diwydiant amaeth ym meirionnydd a thu hwnt. Wedi iddo ymddeol, bu’n cadw cysylltiad cryf a dangos diddordeb yn nghwaith yr undeb, a bu’n weithgar hefyd gyda nifer o fudiadau a chymdeithasau o fewn y sir.

Danfonwn ein cydymdeimlad dwysaf at ei wraig mrs hilda James a’r teulu i gyd.

We were saddened to hear of the passing of John Dyer James at the end of January. He served as FUW Meirionnydd county executive officer between 1974 and 1988

and worked conscientiously and tirelessly for the union and the agricultural industry, and all during a key period of the Union’s development and growth. He was a calm and humble man, but he always had a strong and firm opinion. He was highly respected by everyone within the agricultural industry in Meirionnydd and beyond. After retiring, he maintained a strong link and always showed an interest in the union’s work, and was also an active member of a number of organisations and societies within the county. We send our deepest condolences to his wife Mrs Hilda James and all the family.
