Imogen Jones won the animal health and welfare, horticulture and environmental industries young learner of the year category. She is undertaking a level 3 animal management course. She has also had invaluable experience of working as a veterinary nurse in two north Wales practices and is looking at options of a further university course or an apprenticeship. Fellow Coleg Cambria student Eleanor Barber was announced as runner-up in the same category. Having completed a level 3 extended diploma in animal management, Eleanor recently commenced an animal studies degree at Glyndwr University. She hopes to have a career in animal charity work following the experiences gained on work placements. A high potential prize was awarded to Samuel Ecroyd from Coleg Cambria. Sam chose to undertake an equine apprenticeship to develop his eventing skills whilst continuing to study. He is a member of British Eventing and represents GB on the junior team and has hopes for future British and Olympic success.
