FARMING Connect has arranged a series of “DIY Business Planning” workshops over the coming months (see table below).
These day-long, fully funded workshops will help eligible farmers registered with Farming Connect to master the basics of preparing a business plan tailored to their own business requirements.
The tutorials will involve easily understood language and concepts that will help farmers collate the information they need by using simple analysis tools to assist them in decision making. They will also learn what elements they can tackle themselves and when they need to seek assistance from elsewhere.
“Farmers are often unfamiliar with the concepts and terminology around business planning, particularly financial planning,” said Eirwen Williams, director of rural programmes for Menter a Busnes which delivers Farming Connect services on behalf of the Welsh Government.
“This new series of regional workshops will provide basic tools which will enable farmers to put together their own business plan, tailored to their requirements of their business.”
Each workshop will run from 9am to 5pm.
Places must be booked in advance by contacting Eleri James on 01970 636 298 or by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org
