tHe Royal agricultural Benevolent institution’s Brecon & Radnor committee is organising an evening with guest panellists at the Royal Welsh showground’s FUW pavilion on Monday November 27 (6pm). the event will raise money for farmers in financial need.
RaBi chairman Malcolm thomas MBe will act as chair at the Winter Fair event and the panel will comprise Kate Beavan (Kate’s Country school), teleri Fielden (Llyndy isaf scholar), John Mercer (NFU Cymru director) and Brian Walters (former FUW vice- president).
RaBi is a welfare charity which helps farmers and farmworkers of all ages, giving out grants of around £2 million each year in Wales and england. Last year, RaBi helped around 200 families across Wales and gave out grants of £283k to farming families in hardship.
Much of the funding comes from public donations, events arranged by county committees and support from businesses and community groups.
RaBi’s regional manager for Wales, Linda Jones said: “We are really looking forward to this event and guests will be asked on arrival to put forward suggested questions for the panel, with the emphasis firmly on positivity and fun. i think we all need some respite from Brexit for one evening.”

tickets for the event cost £10 and include prosecco and canapés (ticket entry does not include admission to the RWas Winter Fair).
