Wales YFC’s Rurual Enterprise Programme opening doors for our young entrepreneurs

Wales YFC have developed a new partnership with Big Ideas Wales, part of the Welsh Government’s Business Wales programme, which has resulted in a newly developed business programme. Wales YFC’s Rural enterprise Programme was launched at Wales YFC’s annual General Meeting. similar to the previous business of the year award, Wales YFC members and associates up to the age of 30 are able to showcase their business skills with this year’s business of the year award. Closing date for entries is November 13. Winners and prizes will be announced at the 2017 Royal Welsh Winter Fair. as well as the award the programme offers support to members with; workshops to get inspired and explore key business skills; the opportunity to develop business skills at a business boot camp; one to one sessions with Big Ideas Wales advisors, and the ability to network with Young entrepreneurs and business Role Models to learn what it means to run a business, all provided by Big Ideas Wales. Wales YFC vice-chairman Dafydd Jones said: I’m very pleased to announce this exciting new partnership with Big Ideas Wales, the support they offer is second to none and our business award has had a new lease of life. “This is a great opportunity for our members to not only pursue their business ideas but to receive vital support to ensure their business is a profitable venture.” Big Ideas Wales lead advisor David Bannister said: “Big Ideas Wales is pleased to be working with the Wales YFC to support its Rural enterprise Programme. “This is a fantastic and exciting opportunity for us to work in partnership to continue supporting young people on their journey to starting and growing their own business. “activities will include workshops to explore and inspire club members to start their own business and an opportunity to attend a business boot camp to learn about the essential elements for business success and how to overcome barriers to that success. “each participant will also be allocated a professional Business advisor to help them manage those final steps to starting their own business.”
